Vacancies
We currently have a vacancy for a school governor here at Streatham Wells Primary.
Outstanding local governance is the key to success of The Charter Schools Educational Trust schools. The Trust Board ensures that each of our schools has a local Committee known as a local governing body (LGB), made up of volunteer local governors who play a key strategic role in the management of our schools, including development plans, budget monitoring, community and stakeholder engagement, staff and pupil wellbeing, and oversight of safeguarding and SEND provision in the school.
We want to hear from individuals who have the interest and time to support our school as a Local Governor. We are looking for committed individuals from our local communities, and from all walks of life and backgrounds who can share their knowledge, experience, expertise and skills to support our schools and to enhance the opportunities for our young people and families within the communities we serve.
Being a governor is a voluntary position and we are incredibly grateful to the highly skilled group of people who commit their time and expertise to carry out this vital role in our schools. We are seeking to appoint volunteers with a range of experience in governance so even if you are completely new to school governance we offer thorough induction training and support to ensure that you are able get to grips with the role quickly.
We actively welcome and encourage applications from communities who tend to be under-represented in school governance. We are committed to continuous improvement in how representative we are of our local communities, gender, ethnicity, religion, age, professional background, and all other aspects of diversity.
The Charter Schools Educational Trust and all our schools are committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment, including governance volunteers, are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, references, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed.
