Welcome to Streatham Wells Primary School

Growing Hearts and Minds.

Streatham Wells Primary School is a small but mighty, single-form entry school in the London Borough of Lambeth, part of The Charter Schools Educational Trust.

We are a friendly and caring school, where everyone is committed to providing the very best learning opportunities for our children, both inside and outside the classroom. Children are happy and proud to come to school every day, and we welcome visits from prospective families.

Here we believe in growing hearts and minds. Our school is open plan, with our wonderful library sitting in the heart of the school. This is because reading, and more importantly, a love for reading sits at the heart of everything we do. We are situated amongst beautiful gardens, which inspire our learning and relax our minds.

We grow minds with our curriculum offer which is one that is ambitious, progressive and knowledge-rich. Children learn powerful knowledge, across a broad range of subjects and the knowledge that children acquire is carefully planned and sequenced for, both across time and throughout the year, alongside relevant skills to be able to use and apply that knowledge in a way which demonstrates their critical thinking. ‘Children are articulate and excited about their learning, and achieve highly’, Growing The Top, Challenge Partners visit, 2023.

We grow hearts with our strong personal development culture, where children have opportunities to develop leadership skills, to understand their bodies and their minds, and to become active citizens of the world. We have an active School Council, Young Marketeers, TLF Travel Ambassadors, Pupil Leadership Team, Young Sports Leaders, regular charitable events, active sports teams and much more. We value children’s autonomy, celebrate individuality and encourage self-expression and so we do not have a school uniform.

Please get in touch to organise a visit.

Our Curriculum
